Live edge or natural edge is a style of furniture where the designer or craftsperson incorporates the natural edge of the wood into the design of the piece. There are special challenges involved in working with this type of wood and several methods for live edge have developed. Some leave the natural holes and cracks in the wood, while other artists fill them with resins.

We have a specialized, custom mill that has the capability to make slabs of wood for tables, bar tops and other applications out of a log that can be as wide as 68”.

Our custom mill is mobile and can mill logs on-site where it lays on the ground, as long as it is in a fairly flat location.

Yes, we can pour epoxy resin finishes.

Our custom millwork center is equipped with a full-service workshop that can handle just about any project. We even have a CNC machine that can customize pieces or make signs for any application.

We have a unique drying process that features a solar kiln which dries our milled lumber to between 8-12% over a period of 4-8 weeks. Although it is a longer process than normal, it is much better to create furniture-grade lumber, since it allows the wood to adjust and is not dried too quickly.
